Deviation Actions
Inspired by the many successfully run contests here on deviantART, I’ve decided to create a little one of my own. I know how much fun it is to compete in one and I hope the one that I’ve created for all of you is going to be just as much fun to do.
Musical Muse
Music is a muse to many of us. In this contest, I want you to take the music and bring it to life in your images. Whatever it evokes in your imagination, in your mind, I want to see it. Depressing music, such as Evanescence, brings to mind for me images of dark colours, dreary seas and gloomy skies. I see tears, I see humans in anguish and feeling sorrow. I see melancholy.
Open your mind and imagination.
Creativity is what I want to see – something innovative, original and new.
Listen to your senses and feelings; they’ll point you in the right direction.
Rules:
It must be a new deviation, submitted after the date of March 17th 2007 – no resubmissions of older work are allowed.
You must have the song/s that inspired you named in your artist description.
If you are using stock for your image or for reference, you must credit them. Even if it is your own stock, please state so.
Any medium is acceptable.
Please note your entries to forever-simplicity with the subject of “Contest Submission” containing a link to your entry.
All entries must be in by May 1.
Maximum of two entries per person.

we can all be superheroes.
do you believe in heroes;
heroes with super powers
and the ability to fly
through the big blue sky?
do you believe in heroes;
heroes with inhuman strength
and the ability to protect the world
with their own bare hands?
i believe in everyday-heroes;
concrete angels like you and me.
average, everyday-people,
with translucent wings.
'cause you don't need super powers
to call yourself a hero.
you don't always have to be strong
and hold the world on your shoulder.
i don't need Superman to save me,
'cause I have my own concrete angel
to fly me away
through the big blue sky.
do you believe in heroes?
i believe in concrete angels
2009.
So uh... I haven't updated this in a while.
Heh.
Heh.
-cough-
BUT WE'LL TOTALLY PRETEND THIS IS UP TO DATE AND ALL THAT JAZZ.
News, news, news... where to start...
I'd just like to tell you that Thumbshare (https://www.deviantart.com/thumbshare) is full of win. :heart: I've recently been promoted to a moderator over at #thumbsshare and I'm having an absolute ball. The staff are fantastic and the members and guests who frequent the chat are even more awesome. I've made a ton of new friends there. :D
Y'all should stop by and say hello. I promise I won't bite. :heart:
In other news...
I'm having a little bit of trouble on the whole money front - scraping together money t
changes.
All around me, changes are happening without me even realising it. Even in this last month alone, so many changes have happened - I've made decisions that have impacted on my life, I'd even dare to say that I'm growing up.
And no, this isn't just because I turned twenty.
I was walking toward the park near my house this afternoon where there used to be a whole bunch of really cool swings - with old wooden platforms and supports and whatever (for any of you Christchurchers, I mean the one sandwiched between Dalrye Place and Montclare Ave) and I found that they'd put in a new playground. I'd grown up with the old one and I went to sit on one o
i'm not a teenager anymore.
And that's kind of a scary feeling. :|
but yay birthday and stuff. i'm gonna get drunk tomorrow. :heart:
