Because love is something that can tie you in knots and chain you to one person at the same time. It's just one of those things that I'm incapable of understanding because I haven't experienced the true meaning of the word yet. So I'm chained until it flies free.

I can't wear my emotions on my face -- I've never been in love, so I can't know how to experience it, I need someone or something to yank on my chain to let the heart that's chained down fly free. Love, to me, is more than the love that you feel for people, for your family, for your friends... it's an emotion that is both simple and complex. You can think you love someone, but not really know what it feels like to love. That sounds like a contradiction in itself, but, to me, it rings true... that's how I perceive it. I can't reach the full potential of my emotions until I've broken free of what's holding me down.
